Delaney Smith Rieke

Delaney is a business management and finance professional with over 25 years of experience founding, leading, and overseeing startups and nonprofit organizations. In addition, she has served in management roles in the construction, restaurant, hospitality, and education industries. Known for an analytical mind and a natural talent for financial management, Delaney brings deep expertise in accounting, internal audits, HR management, and insurance compliance to every organization she serves.
Before starting her own consulting firm, Delaney served as Director of Finance and Operations at the Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado, where she maintained GAAP-compliant accounting records, managed budgeting and audits, oversaw cash and investment activities, and produced transparent financial reporting for the Foundation's board, fundholders, and the community. Prior to that, she held CFO roles at Pantry Miner Inc. and Aspen Roof Repair, guiding company strategy, policy, and fiscal operations while identifying and mitigating financial risk.
As the founder and CEO of Rieke Consulting, LLC, Delaney provides bookkeeping, accounting, SWOT analysis, and consulting services to startups and small businesses, along with coaching and leadership development. Her leadership experience extends into community service as well: during a 15-year tenure with Hadassah, she served as Chapter President and Regional Annual Giving Chair, overseeing fundraising and governance across 18 chapters spanning eight states, and completed a two-year Hadassah leadership fellowship.
Delaney holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Colorado State University Global and an associate’s degree in business management from Pueblo Community College. She is currently pursuing her master's in finance and accounting with the hopes of obtaining her CPA. She is also a Certified Medical Transcriptionist and a member of Delta Mu Delta honor society. She is proficient in business and accounting software including QuickBooks, Workday, Clearview, and C-Suites, and is passionate about creating value, solving problems, and making a positive impact in her community.
